Hello!
My name is Brenda Tavares, I was born in a very small town in the countryside of my beloved Bahia, in the northeast of Brazil. The area where the Portuguese arrived some centuries ago and that’s the reason why Brazil is the only country in South America that speaks Portuguese.
Bahia is a place with a special vibe. It’s close to impossible to go there and not fall in love. The culture, art, history & gastronomy pulse strong. There I studied Tourism Management, worked on the trade and I have acquired the knowledge I have in the area.
Surrounded by a big and warm family, I grew up in different towns, consequence of my dad’s work. The passion for sewing and creation came from my Grandma. I spent a lot of time just looking at her seating in her old Singer, creating stunning dresses, painting and embroidering (what she still do).
In 2008 I moved to Italy, where I studied at that moment Photography, and some years later Communication Sciences in the University of Salerno. There I started to create, at that time, a travel blog, to share some photos and tips from the places I was visiting with the friends and family.
Italy was also responsible for this touch I got in my style, for the closer contact with the fashion trade, for the love I nourish for art, history, beauty & of course for food.
Actually my base is Switzerland, in the vicinity of the beautiful Untersee. It’s such a different country from what I was used before, with all the culture, language & integration barriers. But slowly I am feeling more and more part of it and my admiration for how some things are conducted here just grows.
The idea to bring my pages into a place of good quality content creation came naturally as a consequence of my skills & love for photography, travel, beauty, fashion, art & communication. Olá!
O meu nome é Brenda Tavares. Eu nasci numa pequena cidade do interior da minha amada Bahia, no nordeste Brasileiro. Bem onde os Portugueses desembarcaram anos atrás e é por isso que somos o único país da América do Sul que fala Português.
Bahia, como muitos de vocês sabem, é aquele lugar especial, com energia gostosa onde é praticamente impossível não se apaixonar. A cultura, a arte, a história e a gastronomia pulsam muito forte naquela terra. Foi lá onde estudei Gestão de Turismo e onde, trabalhando, adquiri o conhecimento que tenho neste setor.
Rodeada por uma família grande a calorosa, vivi mudando de cidade em cidade por causa do emprego de painho. Mas passei muito tempo sentada ao lado da minha avó e admirando a sua habilidade em pintar, bordar e fazer vestidos tão lindos. Provavelmente veio daí a minha paixão por criar, por trabalhos manuais, por pintura, por moda…
Em 2008 eu me mudei para a Itália, onde estudei Fotografia e Ciências da Comunicação. Ali eu comecei a escrever o meu primeiro blog, numa tentativa de compartilhar com família e amigos as minhas fotografias e impressões dos lugares por onde eu estava passando.
Muito do meu estilo hoje é consequência do meu tempo de vida na Itália, país que me fez amar ainda mais as artes, a história, a beleza e claro, a gastronomia.
Atualmente a minha base é a Suíça, às margens do lindo Untersee. É um país completamente diferente dos que vivi antes, onde enfrentei uma enorme barreira linguística (eu moro na parte alemã do país), cultural, climática e “social”, mas que devagarzinho foi me abrindo portas e me mostrando o que há de admirável por aqui.
A ideia de transformar esta página, e todas as demais conectados a ela, em um lugar de beleza, de conteúdo de qualidade e de fonte de inspiração para as pessoas surgiu quando percebi que colocando juntas as minhas habilidades era o que eu deveria fazer nesta nova fase da minha vida.
